Values and Mission
My work is inspired and guided by the values of respect, acceptance and compassion for the individual and trust in the unfolding potential of each human life. This includes respect for the timing of our readiness to deal with difficult issues and trust in the internal drive that urges us towards the courage and integrity be true to ourselves.
The Persian Sufis had a saying: “The wound is the gift” meaning that when we choose to consciously deal with our pain we open the way for the remarkable gifts of wisdom and transformation; we discover qualities and abilities we never knew we had or even thought possible. And I have seen this happen at any age, from three to ninety three. It is possible for anyone, one step at a time.
The mission of my work is to contribute to the process of each person’s growth in a way that is respectful, empowering and immediately useful for their life and to provide the focus of a time and a place for this process.
